Pensacola
Poet: Ken Jordan Poem: Pensacola Edited by: Sparkle Jordan written: September/2013 I miss  those days back in Pensacola - Haven't gone back in a long, long while - I remember all  the years going back to the beach house, and  the fond  memories that were left behind - Then  all at once, like a  Cyclone, the worst storm ever came roaring in - People were ordered to evacuate, and live's were displaced forever - The last time I was  there, It was a feeling of emptiness, and sadness, The storm was a disaster that no one could conceive - When I look back on  those days before the storm - I can still hear  the  joy; laughter, see the unbelievable sunsets, and hear the romantic  sounds from the Gulf - That's what I'll alway's remember - Not  what happened, But the beauty of Pensacola - Even though  all that's left, is a concrete  graveyard  with remnant's of house foundation's lined along the white sand beach - Long gone are the  children voices  echoing upon a breeze - It's heart wrenching  to think, that this was once a place called home - Don't know when I'll  go  back there - But the memory's of Pensacola, will never be forgotten, It's in  my heart forever - I miss those days down on Pensacola beach -
