God's Shoe
My son and I one early morning walked on the beach. The sun was just starting to shine as the seagulls awoke. Thier cry's like alarms revealing a new day. As we walked my son said:"Dad what's that on the sand?" He ran ahead as the water splasher with his steps. When I caught up to him he was staring down at a sandal in the sand. With a suprised look he said:"Dad look God lost one of his shoes." I smiled at this innocent statement from my little boy. But he looked at me with a serious frown:"Dad what should we do?' "God only has one shoe!" On my knee I looked at him and said: "I know just what to do!" We'll leave it here and when he walks back he will find it on the sand." So we left the shoe there on the sand. Returning that afternoon to my son's surprise the shoe had disappered. But I knew the tide had come in to take it out to sea. Or could it be that God walked back and is smiling down on me. JSergi
