Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required He was so tired of it just so tired of it all He just wanted to quit and end his fall For there was no good only evil and pain Knowing where he stood it was all in vain No point to continue no need to feign For all that was true was his inner pain No one really cared or ever even tried As they only stared from the other side And as he cried out in total desperation He heard a shout maybe his imagination But then a knock and a ring of the bell A bit of a shock but maybe just as well Looking out the window stood a man in black One he didn't know but knew he was a quack But a little voice said to open up that door And with that choice what was now in store He was a Deacon out spreading God's Word First he tried to shun saying he was absurd The Deacon did not fret but pressed in his way Saying would you please let the two of us pray With no answer to be found he took it as a yes And with his very next sound he started to bless At first backing away but then he started to listen In what he would say was all that he was missing So as he said goodbye and turned to walk away The man now wanted to try to see if he would stay And so he stayed and they talked for such a while And for him they prayed in his most difficult trial Just one single story of one particular person Who found God's Glory before his life was done What a difference it made in turning his life around For with the devil now sleighed he was no longer bound
