Children of Divorce
Children of divorce. One. Two. Three. Older brother, younger sister, and me. We live in different states. Us in Mississippi, her in Tennessee. I don't see her much. Three times in the last year. She's growing up and I don't know her. Exactly what I feared. We had to choose sides, Older brother, younger sister and me. She chose our father. We chose our mother. When the line was drawn, there was no going back. Suddenly every conversation became an attack. My sister and my dad were the enemies. I miss my baby sister so much. The sweet little girl I'd protect with my life. The one who bandaged my hand when I slipped with a knife. But now we're just two different teams, who happen to share genes... We're children of divorce. One. Two. Three. Older brother, younger sister, and me.
