A Scary Flight
“A scary flight” It was a cold and dark rainy night. They said you had only a few hour's before your flight. I knew exactly where you were headed. That was one night that I truly dreaded. I guess I wasn’t quite ready for you to leave. Or maybe I wasn’t ready to grieve. What ever the reason I wished you could have stayed longer. As I watched you lay there I knew I had to be stronger. Many thoughts and worries were running through my mind. I searched and searched but not one secure answer did I find. I knew I couldn’t question him and there wasn’t a thing I could do. I touched your forehead your temperature was terribly cool. The night grew more quiet as the machine’s started to beep. As I glanced at you, you looked so peaceful as if you were sleep. I wish I could have delayed or even stopped your flight. But it was then and there that you went to heaven on that rainy night. Writtin and copyrighted in November 2006 by Trenita Gayden
