Humans Have the Roar of Bad Wine
Humans Have the Roar of Bad wine Arabic Satirical poem by: Asaad Basri* Translated into English By: Inaam Al-Hashimi (Gold_N_Silk ==================== Those who write to live Will gain the reward they deserve; While those who live to write, God will inspire them with silence Away from too much talking. There is the noise of people who annoyed us while under the machine of sanctions and hunger And then annoyed us again when they got satiated And went on babbling about millions of dollars and real properties. Humans have the roar of bad wine It does not ascend to your head Till you get a headache! There, at the heights of the poem Silence flows; So, drink till you really get drunk Then tell me something You've never told yourself before ! ------------------ Translated into English by: Em. Prof. Inaam Al-Hashimi (Gold_N_Silk ) USA July 18th, 2012 * Asaad Basri is a poet from Iraq living in Canada Original Arabic text: http://www.alnoor.se/article.asp?id=162292
