Bloom Above
With snow’s demise and gentle shower, seeds from sleep begin the rise to light. Long after the sounds of man cease ring, striving for earth and shade free room, the lupines above the valleys will bloom. The buds burst outward with color’s burn, and naked petals flutter with lack of modesty. Long after the constructions of man have fallen, the insects will pollinate with buzz and zoom, the paintbrush above the valleys will bloom. Sweet nectar percolates from open vase, attracting the bills of winged migrates. Long after the works of man are dust, the stamen concealed will reveal under moon, the cacti above the valleys will bloom. A fragrant delight given birth on wind, brings the nose nearer to blissful aroma. Long after the houses of man have crumbled, out of dark soil with glorious costume, the sunflowers above the valleys will bloom. Nurtured by decay of leaf and stem, and sustained by eternal, universal beauty. Long after I have crossed the final shore, To gaze upon a radiance splitting the gloom, the wildflowers above the valley will bloom.
