Surreal Nature
Sitting by the Klamath River in Northern California, watching as it endlessly makes its way around the bend, searching for the sea. A "wild river' it is, one of the few left untouched by dams and the interference of man. It flows as it did for thousands of years. The river change from green to blue, and there are a myriad of greens along the bank. Wood ducks, otters and deer keep me company. A paradise for hearts wounded by modern life. It seems a glimpse into the life of those who came here before. busy and playful flow unrestricted by man secrets of the past The silence is broken by the voices of wild creatures, and the occasional sound of a fish jumping in search of a fly. Tiny frogs crawl up and down the bank, some still having remnants of their polliwog tails. Bear tracks in the wet sand tell me that I am not alone.. Overhead a contrail fades, a reminder of the other world waiting for me tomorrow. the call of wild things and the call of tomorrow living in this day 9/20/13
