Bretts Grandpa
Bretts Grandpa, was old and kind. He loved to play the harmonica,at Christmas time. It sent the chills,up and down my spine. When I first met him, Brett wasn't sure f he would even like me. But,we hit it off, like a busy bee,and the life of a tree. I'm so glad to have known him, and I always will be. I listened to him talk, which wasn't so bad. He was the other grandpa, I never ever had. No one understood him, like I did. I gre up,with the old ways, when I was a kid. He was like my mother, in many ways. If he wasn't happy, everyone pays. He liked to gather, with his family, sit out on the back porch, and be happy with glee. One day he had called, and wanted no one around. A new life he had started,or thought he had found. His family slowly drifted away. I don't know how it happened, oh, what can I say. Alone,he was,in his own little way. No family to love, now he must pay. The Lord took him,so sudden and fast. A dark shadow on his family,he did cast. Alone now,and in the ground at last. His memories,he has now, left in the past. His family,he has left, so sad and blue. Waiting to go to heaven, just like you. We have all learned, from his mistakes. Our lives, for granted, we will not take. So,sleep now grandpa, and be at peace. You have now earned your release.
