A Wicked Holiday
Have I got a deal for you? A little island I found, and Yer, you guessed it, It has a price tag. The white wash from the Blue ocean waves is dancing on Golden beaches, inviting your Imagination to come and play, The soft sands cover with Girls in bikinis who bathe in the Warmth of the glowing sun. The surfboards are waxed to stop the Muscle-bound bronzed bodies Slipping, as they paddle out to sea. Girls watch and gossip, faster than The speed of sound – All while men are riding the waves. However, no one, and I mean no one, Tosses another shrimp on the Barbie. We grab a lump of steak Soak it in the beer we drink and Grill it over naked flames. We don’t have problems, Cause we have mates, And our mates have solutions – To find a solution we crack open a beer. The Aussie way of dealing with Bad luck or doom is simply Down another tablespoon of concrete and harden up. The start of a new day washes yesterday away And invites wildlife to your back door, Lead by the aroma of a freshly cooked Breakfast that calls you for more. As the sun heats up, The shade of the gum tree Provides shelter for kangaroos, Unless of course they are chased by your pet emus. All this and more is found at your Back door, on a major holiday island we call Australia. Don’t be concerned if you Decide not to buy, Because Down Under We will supply Entertainment all the way And a wicked holiday. (c)2013 Gordon Andrews
