Healing Peeling
He looked me in the face, And warned me, Said that what He was about to do, Was going to really hurt. I braced myself, Took a deep breath, And nodded that I was ready. I was ready for pain, But not that amount of pain. From my finger tips, He began His job, Pulling back the skin, Inch by inch, Slowly, carefully. Like one ripping paper from a surface, That was once stuck by glue, So did He with my skin. I started to bleed, It hurt real bad, I didn't get why He didn't see my pain, Why He didn't stop, Why He didn't give me a break. I screamt as some parts came out with bits of flesh, But He went on, Said it had to be done, If I was to start afresh. Blood flowing, Veins bulging, Body sore, Pain reigning... I couldn't move, He told me not to, Said I should wait, And that I should trust. He closed my eyes, And then He opened them, And in the mirror, a prettier version of me. New skin, Smooth and glossy, With the old one, Scars of my past were gone, The pain brought out the true me that was within. I was better, Prettier, clean, New from the healing peeling.
