All my newer pieces are so much more well put together: better crafted, less forcible rhymes, more meaningful messages, less redundant phrasing, a greater variety of topics, a more open minded mentality. I reminisce thinking, "Was that my reality just a mere two years ago?" Sometimes I just wanna toss it in the fire and warm my hands by the biting flames. Fare the well my more naive self: Sayonara, adios, au revoir, aloha! May we never meet again! Then of course I conjure up images: how ridiculous would that be being born in a eighteen-year-old body? I can't forget the steps I took (and still take) that lead to what you see currently.
