Understood Glances
There is a little perfection in seeing that one person that understands how you feel, walking down the hallways, with your eyes glued to the floor because, when you look up, the only thing people can see is the obscurities masking your good intentions, and, the fact that you are different, which is quite overrated. The scarce moments when your eyes meet, for one second light you up on fire, make you tingle all around, because you see his perfect tattered eyes, showing understanding, how, you know, that in his eyes, that he, too, has been through it, being misunderstood, underestimated, rejected, and yet, is still fighting. In that one look, for a split second, you can see that, although broken, you both have the same melodies to a song that's never been heard, yet needs to be, in order for it to survive, and you long, for that perfect time a time when, you can share your sounds, and not be scared of being torn apart yet again. I know it's not good. I just wrote it in like...10 minutes haha. Also, I have no experience in any creative writing class. I'm just a high school student. Advice would be appreciated!
