Setting You Free
I want you to know I am happy for you. Your dark skies have finally turned blue. Your heart beats in a normal pace. I see the sunshine on your face. We have cried many tears. And shared many fears. I am no longer afraid to let you go. I still care for you and I want it to show. They say if you love someone you should set them free. I don't remember the rest of that story. All I know is today I saw a new you. Now I know our relationship is through. Our friendship, I hope will last. Just like the memories of our past. So when you see me just smile and wave. For I know my love you no longer crave. With these words I set you free. To be the man I know you will be. Enjoy your new life as much as you can. And remember, as a friend, I am still your biggest fan!
