Fifteen years ago to the day, you caused me much pain, But if I had the choice, I’d do it all again, 8 hours, 45 minutes, you really took your time, My beautiful little bundle all covered in slime. Your hair was dark and your lashes long, And your grip on my finger was amazingly strong, Your pouty lips, your perfect nose, You were absolutely gorgeous, from your head to your toes. The first time I held you close to me, My heart was beating rapidly, I whispered a promise into your ear, That “I will always protect you, my dear”.
