Faded Feelings
My feelings are fading Like Niagara Falls cascading Feels like I was thrown in a wishing well You’re wondering how far I fell… But that’s all you did was wonder And you walked away You didn’t hold your breath for me… Do you even wonder if I’m okay You treated me like your puppet From your very first play Thrown in a box, cause I’m not needed anymore Collecting dust like Raggedy Ann… I’m all washed up as I float upon the shore I don’t feel a pulse; you can’t see me breathe and the reason being… I’m over mixed emotions, strong and confident Can’t steal my joy I’m still heaven-sent Did you hear what I said? I’m still heaven-sent Yea, I’m that angel in flight So as these feelings fade quickly I keep in mind that I’m Miss Italy And remind myself that there will never be another quite like me.
