Man cannot and will never be free Not when there are limits on his God given liberty Laws abound that do beat us down They that were elected in a supposedly free vote Easily forget we who made them gods on earth Why does every official have the need To ransack my home on a whim Not even caring if I am home? Why has the government given A two fingered salute to my individuality? Am I not a member of a democratic society? They trample me with words That do try hard to confuse Why are laws and government policy Of such complexity? Why must I always need a lawyer To make those in power aware that I am free?
