The Polluting
yes, the hands may very well start clean & yes, there might very well be an honest heart in the chest of the body which extends the hands & yes, there might be a brain with ideas that would shock the world into a new century of positive change inside the head atop the heart & the extending hands & yes, we may listen with an open mind to the voice coming from the brain attached to the heart & the cleans hands in the beginning, but, when the polluting comes it comes on as something never encountered by our once honest, once idealistic & once trusted hands, heart & mind--- the polluting of this individual may come in stages, where promises made to her/him are accentuated by financial gains or the possibility of pure power, or it may be something more subtle which cannot be registered by someone of lay means, for the process of the polluting is never as revealing as the conclusive character who emerges from the lair of the proverbial “devil,” reeking of the fluids expelled during the wild romp in his bed--- we see in the eyes a heart that has gone cold & drifted far away from the needs of the many & we hear nothing of the ideals that had been promoted by that brain which had been working in tandem with that heart--- instead, now the polluted wo/man steps out into the forefront of public life with hands dripping blood & dirt, permanently stained & ever-deceiving--- corrupt to the core.
