What Eyes See Is Not True
What eyes see is not true, for Spotlight of time flashed me as meteor's shimmering But my false machines made it aeons vibrating \What eyes see is not true for The life that wore cloth that bore charm so benumbing But peep inside – death, decay, destruction prevailing \What eyes see is not true, for I saw a mountain that was as high as breath taking But the like things dissolved in moment's eye blinking \What eyes see is not true, for I took things as it is and shall have been remaining But found sun's westward moment to me beguiling \What eyes see is not true, for The people who in vainglory stand on the road when leading But its flowage is snowball that pass them by mincing \What eyes see is not true, for I saw deep inside her spark germinating, thought so lasting Ah! It was but passion's heat that's evanescent and so fleeting \What eyes see is not true, for I wear smiles on my face, you always see me rejoicing But a hole in me is widening like a wood's secretly been nibbling \What eyes see is not true, for The love and devotion that I took as a citadel for sorrows and suffering Was serpent's domain or a spot in abysmal darkness lightening \What eyes see is not true, for Like that moon my destination appears to me come so nearing But why I don't get there despite days and nights travelling? \What eyes see is not true, for My art is a light to produce it a candle is needing for melting But flood of rewards to me came and it started extinguishing \What eyes see is not true for I plunged into pleasure's stream but found it so shallow for floating A voice echoed, "It's nature's law that ease underneath trouble is hiding." \What eyes see is not true for When I was moaning, my Lord bestowed me something for sharpening Though it was so dull and piercing yet I found it immensely illuminating
