I Must Go Back To the Cross
When I forget that Christ died for me that He was God's pure sacrifice, And when I doubt that His promise is true That His Grace is enough to suffice, Then I must stop and think of His love, and devine intervention for me. For without His death I would not be God's child and a soul set free. When it seems that love, peace and joy have fled, and the Jordan I will not cross, Then I must go back to where it began, I must go back to the cross. I must go back, go back to the cross, Where my sins were all washed away By the blood of that one, ,God's sinless Son And remember what He did that day. He made a way where there was no way. He gave hope when all hope was lost. Now when I lose sight of His power and might, I must go back to the cross. Back to the cross, back where it began, Where my heart I lay at His feet. Back to the cross, that Old Rugged Cross It is there that my life is complete.
