Writers Block At Its Best
Sitting my room armed with only notepad and pen. I sit thinking of what to write, Wondering, what to start with and where to end. But no good ideas have come to light. I think, should it be a poem of love of all its triumphs and happiness, Or the darkest depths of death and all the sorrows that come with it. I search my mind for creative thoughts of anything from the craftiest to the ghastliest. Looking for something that would awe and stir up the emotions of the reader as they sit. I fumble my pen through my fingers, pacing it back and forth waiting for inspiration. I look around looking out the window searching for a muse. I close my eyes and listen of sounds that might spark my imagination. Inhaling deeply, hoping to find a wondrous smell that would end my search of clues. The minutes come and go and blank paper remains. It taunts me with its white coat, daring me to write my next spectacular poem. Let it taunt me, for I will show who the victor is in this battle of brains. Writing this collection of words has been tiresome. But in this collaboration, a poem is contained. So I have won this battle of wits, and as a prize a poem I gain.
