Blurred Slur Cure
Loud, ruthless, drunken slur Visions of family blur Matters not what they think As long as she gets one more drink Watching from the sidelines A visit turned internal binds Do I stay and help them? Younger siblings, emotions dim Can't stay, mom wants me home Daddy will stay, don't feel so alone Emotional chaos, I want to stay and help I turn, hearing one final yelp Please daddy, keep them calm Don't raise a fist, or drop a bomb That's why we're not together, daddy Those kids, they need you badly Loud, ruthless, drunken slur Visions of family blur Matters not what they think As long as she gets one more drink Leave her if you must It's her my siblings and I cannot trust Keep them safe at all cost Even if it's her who ends up lost Old habits die hard Make her see this is her last card She can choose to play, or leave the game But this violence she must learn to tame Please daddy, keep them safe Do not let my siblings become waif I can't stand to see them in pain You just sit there, so inane Save them from her drunken slur Only support can be a cure Make it matter what they think Don't let this family sink. ... Just don't let her pick up one more drink.
