The Proverbial Colors of Love - Ever Wonder Why
Red, green, purple, orange, navy blue, all such beautiful colors. How about burgundy, and pink with yellow dots…wow! Dear God I asked, there are so many beautiful colors in the world, why did you choose to create people the colors we are? Why is her skin lighter than my skin? Why is his skin darker than her skin? Why brown, why tan…why white? The birds in the sky fly with such splendor, and bright hues. “A Canary, a Blue Jay, a Cardinal; so eye catching! You’ve covered the trees with a green so rich. A Pine tree, an Oak, a Maple…oh, so brilliant! Flowers bloom with colors so magnificent, they can’t be ignored. I look out to the ocean and the shades of blue, yellow, and green are captivating. I look at the sunset with its fiery yellow, red and orange. Colors so beautiful only God could have created. The world surrounds me with such magic, beauty, and color! So why dear God; with so many colors to choose from, were we born simply brown, or tan, or white? There was silence for a moment…then the Lord did answer and say; “my child, I have made people in the colors of Heaven and Earth. Think of the soil of the Earth, the richness of each color. All shades of brown, some so deep it’s almost Black. The shades of the white sand, from light to tan. Consider the Heaven, and its shades of blue and white. The sunset and the sunrise…look at your hair; now look at your eyes. These are my FAVORITE COLORS, you see. The rest is for you to ENJOY!”
