Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Phil 3:18-19 NIV By the power of the Holy Spirit, I am Given the Mind of Christ my Lord. I take every thought captive, When sanctified by God’s word. My thoughts are governed by God’s Kingdom, And provide obedience to His will. I am set apart from the world’s system, Given peace of mind that’s still. When transformed into the mind of Christ I do those good works God predestined. Stripped of my former nature, I am by the Holy Spirit governed. The lusts and desires of illusion Must now pass away. I see the world through different glasses And possess a desire to obey. I delight in God’s great mercy, That’s provided fresh each day. Should I be separated from His Spirit, I fall along the way. I’m dependent upon the Holy Spirit For every step I take. On my own I can only falter And heave, I’d simply never make. May the mind of Christ dwell in me And my mind be fully renewed. May I be set apart attitudinally To be morally and ethically viewed. It is the perfect will of God That my mind be transformed; The mind of Christ renewed in me; New heights of glory each day dawned. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
