Absence of Gravity
How hard is it to breath? Way up high in the clouds I'm just another craft. About time someone woke me up but no one comes. A careless disregard of form and function, the clouds swirl and shake to form cautious barriers around a bleeding heart. Let the little ones take heed, for there are giants out there, giants that stomp around this fertal land and take no pity on the smaller man. Up here in the clouds it comes into full view. I never paid attention to the spinning of the planet until I was powerless to stop it. My arms stretch and tear only to have to cradle the world. A balling baby in endless space. I nurture, coddle and feed just like any natural mother would knowing full well that there will be heart ache, greed, anger and then leaving. But there is love, lets not forget about love. There is sweet surrender, happy tears and those strange uncomfortable silences cured by gregarious laughter. A jovial sense of well being that puts the sway of the world back into place. The barriers come down, a smile creeps up on me and I awake... in my bed... ready for gravity to take it's hold again.
