Empty As a Pocket
The empty desolation secreted inside my soul no light emitted. an all consuming black hole hear the rumbling thunder claps as dark clouds roll depression is takin' it's toll, i've lost sight of my goal. I am running, there's nowhere to hide the Severn was empty, til my tears were cried i've even lost humility and all sense of pride eagerly awaiting the time when i've died this live's shallow shell, i'm no longer tied. I am stuck hard and fast, with faultering feet will loneliness always last? Is there no-one I can meet? With despair my gaze is cast, I have to stand, for I have no seat my flag is only quarter mast, my bird is mute. it doesn't tweet. My plate is empty, my belly too I've had no water for eight days through my throat is parched, that is true! Can anyone please help me? Maybe you? ©John-Ovan.P.Hull
