The swelling in your throat, The saltiness on your lips. All you want is hope, When around you, sadness grips. You feel alone and broken. Words are left unspoken. It’s the thought of losing the one you love, That keeps your cries woken. Just when things turned back around. When things were getting right. One small thing can flip you upside down, And make tears fall all night. You cry yourself to sleep. You dream. You awaken from the nightmare. So it seems. But there’s an aching in your heart.
