You'Re the One
Looking into the ground I knew I had seen a better day, but when? Yet there you stood before me raising my chin To see the light streaming over your face I was blinded for that single moment And then everything just came together You make me weak in the knees But oh what a feeling! The warmth of your caressing hands As I look up into your eyes And know you’re the one Made everything else in life seem so miniscule I want to spend the rest of my life with you I can see everything before us I want to be there when you’re down Putting my arms around you never felt so right! Your lips, your eyes, your hair, your hands Those hands, God never made hands so delicate! Knowing, not just hoping, I know it I can see it in the way you smile, you’re the one I can taste you on my lips I can smell you on my clothes Where have you been all of these years?
