Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Wednesday, January 18th, 1984 Was when life opened for me its door I entered, vague of what I’m in for But deep is the mystery of the creator I set off through the fast track of time Cautiously, heading towards the unknown Many I have seen in this journey of mine And so much many, I’m still to behold And I have witnessed days and nights Won the dark and prided in the light To save the string that binds me with life Many times I struggled with death’s knife I knew the pain in the path’s thorny side Many dishearten evils, I took in my stride I have enjoyed where sweetened my heart And the feeling when prevailed over the dark Neglected and considered as a wild seed But equipped with the zeal of my wise breed I proceed in conquering my intense needs And came out a fruitful plant among weeds Times, I fought as my unduly daily terrors Repercussions of my unruly early errors Though ridden with battlefields scars My lights still shine more than the stars Mostly delusive belief I was fanatically taught Though In the places, for the truth I sought But thank God for my grandma and her teachings To the very best of top-most I will be reaching I kept it real as a wise Afrikan with seven senses Strictly shining my bright lights for others to see Adding flavors to the makings of my ancestry And still keeping safe, me, myself and I, my trinity Today, Wednesday January 18th, 2006 With raw ambition, I’m set to get things fixed And you know, Incomplete is my story yet to be Until my journey is complete and no more of ME
