The Friendship Remains
I knew the situation when it began. Never a doubt, That it would soon end. We have our fun, As long as time will allow. We take many chances, But it is all worth while. I feel for you, As I haven't felt in a long time. You make me feel As thought it is no crime. I trust in you As I haven't trusted before. But still I wonder, When will you close the door. I will be sad, Maybe even tearful. But when I remember... The memories are cheerful. I thank you for our friendship, I hope it never ends. But when it is over, I will still call you...friend. For you've made me realize, That I can open my heart. And I can have friends, Who won't stab it from the start. And for this, I thank you I will always remember The moments we've shared, I will cherish forever. For I feel no two people Can say the same. As I said before... I hope the "friendship" remains.
