The Rusted Treasure Chest
The wind is all I've got now Careless glimpses without heed Burrow deep into the crowds Like staggering footsteps On the lonely coasts, That had never been treaded on before.. Waves like strangers Wash them away, And so I wonder, why? where? The safest place for my soul, By the furious ocean, Horizon sings to me: 'The Song of Ecstasy!' Peeping, glittering from beyond; I sit on the rocks, That are stronger than the single mother Who had lost her child One rainy night: They have been caressed By the first drops of rain That ever fell on Mother Earth And as Time raped Her, The waves of Her tears Battered their silence to patience. A squash of the coldness At my barefeet Dwindling like a dead serpent Deceived from poison, Serves an unusual joy.. Blood and life have been drained And all Im left with is A wrap of flesh, over a skeleton Turning to dust. A treasure-chest nursing my secrets Mauled from the core of my happiness; Rusts under the sun. The encounter with the wind, Like an oscillating rush Completes my hollowness. As I weep silently The ocean wants my tears; She promises to grow up with it, I smile. The day had come to an end And so have I, I rise above the horizon Along the sun setting into it, The gleaming rays burn my peels off Bare and hurt I choose to fall, Freely into the furious waves Only to grow up with the ocean Into nothingness.
