One Little Lie
One little lie has ruined our lives No matter how hard we try, we can't go back in time, to the day he came, and knocked on our doors, and my mom showed up and said “nevermore” the police came, and they went away, and everything was fine, until that fateful day, when all of my lies, that were bottled up inside, decided to share a secret, that I was supposed to hide. The secret I shared, may have ruined our lives, and may cause my parents to leave, and live separate lives. all because that one little lie, that caused me to share the secret, I should've kept inside. I didn’t mean for it to come out, I didn’t want it to be that way, but it did, and now I can’t take it away. It’s all my fault, Everything, so they say. I betrayed them, and it may cause one to walk away. One little lie has ruined my life, No matter how hard I try, I can’t go back in time. So, for now I sit, and wait in this chair, and I learn, that secrets, aren’t always mine to share.
