But her heart was torn with deep longing, To swim with the seals , not live in the sand... She saw the past with old and seeking eyes, And the future as she hoped it would be.. On the back of her stead she cried to the wind. To return to her home was her ardent plea... And then one still night from a silent sea, The seals came ashore to take her home.
