Prophecy
Prophecy It has been for- told by our ancestors of a second coming. No one knows when or where. Will be neither man, nor beast nor fair of face or dark as night. Agile and strong like lions fierce. gentle and tender as babies lay sleeping. Wear neither silver, nor gold. Be rich with wealth but yet poor. Love enemies as if they were friends. Wash the feet of maids. Leave to rest for years to grow, with warmth and cold, wind, rain. Envelope love in flowing sighs of sweet warm breath and all Seeing Eyes meet with the children, to teach and learn them, ways of the old, lest they forget their roots! Turn water into red wine. Turn tides on seas with waves so high, astound the folks with wonders ‘strange’ bring back to life the ‘dead’, Sick men heal. Forgive sins, no matter the cause. Be neither friend nor foe. But turn away from hate and spite. Voice opinions, in places where they dare not listen. Hear, every whisper said. Never disregards a word or thought, From whom so-ever its lips have it brought, without offence or shame! A mysterious being, born from woman His life; will turn our world awry grow up in times of peace and war. Live as a human, feel cold and pain, distress! Triumph! Loss! Death! But take all things as is meant to be. Hold head up high and face the truth, no matter what, or why or who. Travel alone on journeys long, starvation, temptations all along the road must bear as a stone around a neck. Or a cross so high, Whipped, beaten, taunted most cruel, By fellow men, friends, and fools, stoned, kicked, and left hanging there to die a death Most horrid as `it can be’, no humble grave to lie in peace just so as we, here on this Earth, those we, who now, rule the World. Can Live!
