Grabbing Your Moon
Grabbing Your Moon As the ivories tickle my ears and the warm coax of the saxophone melts my heart, thoughts of you float around in my head like a swarm of July’s monarch butterflies. Memories of your crystal clear blue eyes, take me back to the days of our past, when we kissed on a bed of blushing rose buds. I see breathless scenes, when I close my weary eyes, and let the sweet whispers of the music carry me away. The smooth touch of you warm skin moving against mine as we stand on the balcony, feeling the wind embrace the fury of flames that danced in our fireplace. When I was in your arms, whether dressed in leather, lace or nothing at all, I felt like the luckiest girl at the grand ball. I would climb the highest mountain peak to peek into those deep eyes of blue and grab your moon again.
