The Hammering Man
I am proud to report I am a fan Of Seattle's ten-ton "Hammering Man". He stands by Seattle's Art Museum, Where any and all can easily see him. He pounds without stopping fifteen hours a day, From morning to night in rhythmic way. We thought him too big to come to harm, But he pounded so hard, he lost his arm. City workers took on the delicate chore Of repairing him, to pound once more. Each year he takes but one holiday, The one for all workers on Labor Day. He represents the ordinary man Who works for his living and is proud he can. Seattleites are lovers of all the arts, But it's "The Hammering Man" who has won their hearts. Visit our Emerald City whenever you can. We'll gladly show you our "Hammering Man". Inspired by Brian's "Sculpture" contest won hm http://www.seattleartmuseum.org/visit/hammerMan.asp
