Tears
Tears ~~~~~~ The tears that I've shed over love that was lost, I consider the gain and think of the cost When I'm lying in bed and the memories roam free, I wonder if anyone has a true tear for me At this thought that is passing my tear river flows, And if my feelings are acknowledged it never shows Sometimes I feel that love is just tears, It inhibits my beauty and enhances my fears It's like a cruel and vicious cycle that’s never complete, And it's sometimes like grapes which are bitter and sweet I know that it's life and that love isn’t kind, But it's that sort of insight that preys on my mind Then I look to the mirror eyes swollen and red, As I ponder the number of tears that I've shed With my head on my pillow thoughts passively slow, I wonder aloud; "From here where do I go?" An answer is not long in coming for me it will never last I know, And as I turn on my side the tears start to flow Did she really mean to crush me and then rip out my heart? I was caring and giving to my queen from the start I loved her with all my soul but I guess I'll never know why But time can heal all and my tears soon will run dry.
