Moving Forward
Sometimes I sit back and wonder how I keep going on. Wishing I could be full of sleep, these days can seem so long. Really though, what would sleep mean for me anyway. Thinking my body could rest, but a restless mind remains the same. Maybe this is why I have spent so many years on the roam. Nursing broken thoughts and dreams out there on my own. Mistakes I know I've made, like others they're regrets in which I have. I can only resolve them by moving forward, I know I can't change the past. So do you want to come along with me as I continue down this road. Not sure what to expect, but it will be interesting as we go. I'll just need the flash of your smile so I can carry on. I know it gives me strength, I've been missing it all along. Well there goes my exposed heart, to be remolded by your hands. Please just use a delicate touch, sometimes I weaken as I stand.
