A Hairy Night
A Hairy Night I once had a passion Of spirits beyond I wondered and felt Them all around. I studied and googled GhostHunters I found I sent for the workbook My heart starts to pound. With me and my camera At night we did stand To enter the cemetery To ask “If we can” Start feeling the cold Hair stands on end I now must stay calm I’m talking to friends. I must ask permission Your photo to take Are you right there? My hand starts to shake. I click and I click I sing a sweet tune I summoned the peace Of summer’s full moon. The chill runs beside me My mind’s running wild I look at the tombstones Did I see a smile? When fear took the rule I left in a blink Developed my film And what do you think? I stared and I stared My photos at night Revealed a box The place was not right. There in the entry Where road enters in Anomaly placed Itself with a grin. There is no item No post or gate This spot is empty Day light and day late. The chill still beside me I sit at my desk My photos of spirits I finished my quest. Now I’m a believer All true I do swear An orb or a vortex It all raised my hair! Jeralynn B. Clark
