A Letter to Father
**A Letter to Father** In the quiet moments, I find my heart, Whispers of worries as shadows depart. I hope for the solace that soon will arrive, A gentle assurance that I'll truly survive. Oh Father, I carry this burden so deep, Each thought of my health steals away my sleep. Though I strive to care for this fragile estate, I confess that my worries accumulate. As summer’s bright laughter gives way to retreat, I ponder the rhythm of cold and the heat. Next Sunday the clocks will conspire to send The daylight to slumber, too soon to descend. The chill wraps around me as daylight grows brief, At five it all fades, surrendering grief. Yet in darkness, I’ll whisper a prayer every night, For you are the architect, guiding my light. Seasons weave stories, each thread a delight, Fall, Winter, Spring, and the warmth of the Light. Now September has whispered its twilight refrain, The hot days have vanished, replaced by the rain. I bundle in layers as I stroll past the trees, The air bites sharply, yet there's comfort in freeze. Yet, while the world slumbers, the birds take their flight, To warmer embraces, 'neath stars shining bright. Oh how I will miss their sweet songs in the morn, But I know they will come when the springtime is born. This winter feels endless, yet hope will endure, With patience, I cherish the promise that’s sure. For you crafted this cycle that dances in grace, And within every season, I still find my place. So I hold onto faith, knowing I will get through, In the warmth of your love, I’ll always find you.
