He should be the first thought on our mind. Whenever we're going through a troubled time. For the sick and the dying too. Surrender to His will, saying "God I trust You!" He give all His Creation the freewill to choose. But I speak from experience, with God you can't loose. Three times I should have lost my life. Years ago I lost my first love who became my wife. I walked Christmas day in Denver homeless in 2003. But God was right there alongside of me. We've walked together in the VA as I served trays. Saw things I read in the Bible on many days! One example was when the Rich and Beggar died. Angels carried the Beggar man to Abraham's side. I asked God. "Could I see that please?" The next day at work, God truly amazed me! I walked into a room to deliver a food tray. The old Vet was staring up and I heard him say. "Do you see them? They are sitting right there!" I said "No sir!" because all I saw was air. He said. "They're right there, can't you see?" But there was nothing there to me. As I left, I remembered what I read. When I returned bedside the old Vet was dead. The hairs on my arms stood raised on the outside. My heart felt such a warmness on the inside. A Bible experience, God had allowed me to see. Just one of endless things He has done for me. Through death, sorrow and pain we must go. But in them it's God we learn to know. If all things in life always went just fine. We never would look for Him at anytime. No matter how dark the road you travel through. Keep stepping. Keep saying. "God, I will trust in You!"
