The Lost Ocean Treasure
"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever." — Jacques Cousteau It was an early summer morning at the desolate beach Seagulls soared over the water searching for crabs within reach The waves gently crashed ashore and left ocean treasures to find, sea glass, star fish, urchins and other ocean debris of some kind I sat on my beach blanket sipping the hot coffee I brought along And sat in peace and enjoyed the peaceful solitude, it won’t last long I saw something sparkling in the sand as it washed up in the salty foam I decided to try to pick it up as I love bringing sea treasures home It was a beautiful diamond ring in a setting with a carat heart stone I drove to the nearest store in hopes of finding out what may be known As I entered, I saw a sad woman posting signs for any diamond rings found I gave her ring back, she thanked me and I said the ocean can be profound
