He watched the seas churn and boil, And saw the eagles wings unfold, He felt the sun's warming rays, And watched it set to begin a new day. He saw the seedlings each unfurl, Watched as the volcanic smoke did curl, Felt the heat in the desert sand, And saw the winds caress the land. He was there at the Garden scene Where Satin first began to scheme Disguised his tricks tempting man, Causing Adam and Eve to leave the land. He was there at Noah's Ark When God bade Noah to embark, Satin's curse had caused dispair Because it seemed man didn't care. Abraham, Solomon and Moses too, Just couldn't make God's dreams come true Of peace and happiness for all man In every corner of the land. It seemed Satin had prevailed, And that God's plans were doomed to fail, But God had one more plan in mind. He'd send a Savior for all mankind. On a cold dark night a Star shown bright When as a Babe He shared the night With animals and the chosen few The Angels sang their carols too. Through the years, centuries long, The Son of God has made us strong. And tho two thousand years have gone Each Christmas Eve we hear their song. Cile Beer written 2000
