In a Different Light
Standing where shadows meet daybreak, I've been seen—and unseen—a thousand times before. The familiar angles of my life cast in predictable patterns across the floor. But what if—just once—the sun shifted? What if clouds parted differently, or night fell from another direction? The parts of me you recognize might be invisible to someone else, while the fragments I try to hide shine brightest to a stranger. See how the ordinary becomes remarkable when bathed in a different light? I've spent years learning the contours of my reflection, memorizing which angles to present, which shadows to embrace. But maybe I've been standing in the same spot too long, afraid to see what happens when the light catches me off-guard. So illuminate me differently. Let me stand beneath unfamiliar stars, or the gentle glow of a question I've never been asked before. Because in a different light, I might discover parts of myself I never knew were there— Dormant colors waiting to bloom, stories etched in places I never thought to look.????????????????
