My Three Blessings
As I look out the window at my three boys, I hear all the racket, I hear all the noise. They’re playing with tractors in the dirt. They’re playing barefoot, no pants, no shirt. It’s fun to watch them and their imaginations, the smile on their face, the exhilaration. They don’t need expensive toys to do the trick, just give them a rock, some mud, and a stick. They loving playing in water and hunting frogs, climbing up trees and crossing logs. Sometimes they bring a mess through the door. Last night my youngest pooped on the floor. With boys it’s pull my finger real hard, all I hear around here is butt, turd, and fart. Riding their 4-wheelers, tractors, and bikes, playing dress up and taking a hike. I hear the word momma a thousand times a day. And though the repetition gets annoying, there’s no other word I’d rather hear them say. They’re constantly moving, full of so much energy. It can be so exhausting, physically and mentally. Six years of diapers, I’ve seen poop galore. In and out of the house, why do we even have a door? I love those three boys so much it hurts. I love them so much, those three little squirts. Thank you dear Lord for all of your blessings and grace, keep them all happy, please keep them all safe. I’ll raise them up strong, I’ll put Him in their heart, so from His good word, they shall not depart.
