CHILD EYES
We cannot stop the effects of aging…how every day we grow a little older It’s a simple fact of life…a burden we all shoulder. But what can make that burden less a burden as every day we rise Is if, as our body’s ages, we keep our child eyes. As a child we saw no differences in our colors, sex or name. We held hands and talked to everyone as if we were all the same. We welcomed all visitors who walked in through our door Our eyes looked out on a world of peace and love…we never dreamed of war. Miracles, innocence…love, joy beauty, adventure and curiosity these are but a few of the wonders the eyes of a child see. But as we all grow older…as we are meant to do life throws obstacles in our path that tend to change our point of view. And somewhere along the way…as different paths are crossed… we tend to lose our innocence…and our child eyes get lost. Of course I have no proof things would be any different but I do love to surmise… what our would would look like today… If everyone could see it… through their child eyes.
