Age
They left you impassioned impossibilities, They say. Forged runner out of a glass fire, How fast does glass run? How far does glass run? Penniless fiend with a knack for whatever The hell, whatever the hell it is you're Talking about, one or two may understand, And they don't matter. Oh, well, you're missed, you say, They say. Diamond-headed face that glows in the Sun, brighter shiner for people to smile at, But you don't make any money. Some look, some talk, But you don't make any money. Stage-frightened weasel knows a deaf Man has not known the taunts of demons, So you wander left, No, Read the whole thing, and read your Deaf partner's section too since he's Out sick. You ungrateful fool, look At how young your mom is. She'll never look like this again. I can't remember if I was required to Remember this, remembering at all Means I'm all out of excuses, bucko: Should have cut my legs off and Run a marathon, bucko, Should have looked looser Than tight as skintight skin, bucko, Should have harbored the love In your mother's eyes, bucko, But you listened to the sound Of your own voice, Then you grew older and never Returned, Then you grew older and confused Colors, Then you grew older and left your Mouth agape. Hairless, elegant, Coldwood floor for naked feet, Naked, a trophy, you wish, You wish, You wish, You wish The stench of sex diluted your tongue.
