When inspiration strikes
there i stood by my bare canvas inspiration paused on standby i thought of places we had been and cities we had seen i thought i'd draw an arch and see where it would lead i'd pick a big round paintbrush apply a generous coat of blush but i wondered what's the use of drawing something so mundane afterall I had a role, it was my duty while the world cried out for beauty shouldn't i be loud, be bold be the conduit of something worthwhile of something worth expressing for a moment it got me guessing my brush touched the canvas one stroke then another thinking back to places we had been and cities we had seen AP: 3rd place 2025, Honorable Mention 2025 Submitted on February 23, 2025 to contest A MAGICAL JOURNEY sponsored by CONSTANCE LA FRANCE
