I felt chilled when I realized I was all alone on some distant planet that wasn't my own. There were rings and moons circling around Could this be Saturn? That would be profound! The landscape here was far beyond Earth's realm and I was feeling more than a little overwhelmed. Then, I felt rather than saw something draw near. I didn't sense danger, nor did I see anything to fear. As an earthling, I questioned if other life existed in the universe, but my thoughts were oddly twisted. For I found that I was an alien and about to freeze, Should I say, "Hello. Take me to your leader, please?" I was greeted with a signal that I didn't understand but offered what looked like a perfectly normal hand. I was taken inside a colossal sized geodesic dome where people moved around as if it was their home. Humans! They looked peaceful and devoid of stress compared to Earth, that I'd left in a terrible mess. I was fed and given warm clothes before taken out to learn what Saturn's rings are really all about. The shimmering rings were kept glimmering like jewels And when skated upon they became sensory tools. Saturnaliens, if that's a word... used the icy track here to protect the planet from intruders near the atmosphere. I gave it a go, but keeping my balance was a bit tricky On thin edges of skate blades, I needed something sticky but with a bit of help I got the hang of it and was relieved. Round and round I skated on this Saturn I had conceived. Skaters were performing jumps and spins within my sight. There were no signs of animosity. Life was a pure delight. Everyone interacted with humility. There were no kings. I longed to live my life here and skate upon Saturn's rings.
