Murphy's Law This law simply states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong; if there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong, and if anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. Captain Ed Murphy was right when he said his famous line, "If anything can go wrong, it will" even when I did everything right Friday, I asked you out , and you answered yes so excitedly. Prepared, I did it with enough cash so you would not bail out. On Saturday, I dressed smartly to look cool. Little did I know I was a fool. The new shirt I bought was inside out and a large tear made me feel cool. I arrived earlier than the agreed time waiting on the side to see her arrive. Arrive she did in sweat and smiles Two hours later than the agreed time. I asked her if we should get inside only to be told she had a friend in tow. A guy she introduced as a cousin smiled causing shame and anger inside. I showed them my sweetest smile and offered to get food and drinks. Bought two tickets at the counter, and bought it with a Cheshire cat's smile. I wanted to see a romantic movie but the red string to another led me. Brought the tickets, food, and drinks to the booth with a slasher movie. I told them to go look for seats, for I will go to the loo first. I walked away from the cinema, but instead towards a taxi's seat. I planned to go on a wonderful date, ended instead on a lonely game. Played all day inside an internet cafe until the calendar changed date. The only thing inside my mind, who brings a cousin on an intimate date. It changed something inside of me, broke my heart, and changed my mind.
